Maintenance system
Maintenance System
The experience of the operations on the An-32s in countries with different climate as well as research prompted the maintenance system “on condition”. The system secures maintenance unit man-hours equal to 3.5 man-hours per flight hour.
The scheduled maintenance structure includes:
1) Line maintenance
During a flight day maintenance groups perform only charging and refueling and eliminate malfunctions. Other scheduled and unscheduled repairs are conducted in free from flights time.
The aircraft design allows performing the line maintenance work with protection from radiation, chemical and bacterial infection.
2) Periodic maintenance
The base form of the periodic maintenance is performed each 300 flight hours (6 months), and the auxiliary – each period divisible into 300 h (6 months). These forms of maintenance are performed and the Operator's base.
Check-out-and-restoration service is conducted each 10800 flight hours or 12-13 years of operation at specialized An-32s maintenance centers.
O.K. Antonov ASTC and KiGAZ Aviant provide for comprehensive training of flight and maintenance personnel operating at military and civil Antonov airplanes.
The training centers possess certificates obtained from Ukrainian state aviation bodies.
The training comprises theoretical lectures and training in real-life environment to operate the aircraft. This is achieved by developing of curriculum to each group (right up to individual training) after estimation of the Customer's material base and maintenance structure and aircraft operating.
The training is carried out in Russian or in English according to the Custimer's wish.
O.K. Antonov ASTC ensures operational tracking and life cycle extension during the whole An-32 service life. The ASTC is constantly perfecting the systems, ameliorating the An-32s maintenance system, improves their reliability, and developing different modifications of the airliner designed to raise performance and economic characteristics.
The flexible system of preparation of the series production, which is combined with highly skilled personnel and efficient organization of industrial process, and therefore allow producing compatible An-32s with high level of reliability and safety.
