Àn-32B-200

The Àn-32B-200 aircraft is a multi-purpose tactical military- transport aircraft of short take-off – landing for the fulfillment of Air Force tasks with an action radius up to 1000êm (with installed external airborne fuel tanks -1600êm).

Àn-32B-200 provides:

  • delivery of arms, military engineering with weight up to 7,5t with a cruising speed of 500km/h (overall dimensions of a cargo cabin 12,5õ2,4õ1,7 (m), volume of a cargo cabin – 66m 3 );
  • air landing of engineering and cargoes on modular platforms with total mass up to 3 t each, and also up to 42 paratroops through the back cargo door ;
  • delivery of 50 armed people;
  • evacuation of 24 injured and ill people accompanied with 2-3 people;
  • delivery and dropping special cargoes (4õ500kg), located on external beam holders (with removed pendant fuel tanks).

AREE complex of the aircraft is built on the basis of the modern avionics of the leading world manufacturers - Rockwell Collins, Universal, Litton, Allied Signal etc., used on the modern military aircraft of many countries, including countries - members of NATO.

The architecture of AREE is built on the basis of digital systems with the usage of interface communication according to ARINC 429. In the structure of AREE complex the systems of military purpose are used, the complex conforms the requirements of STANAG and MIL-STD-1553Â standards, the equipment conforms the requirements of TSO, is certificated for the usage on the transport aircraft.

In automatic and director operational modes AREE provides an indispensable level of safety at the expense of signaling of actuation of operational modes, automatic and continuous control of health monitoring during the flight with issue of signals about failures and automatic disconnect of a failured channel.

The system of electronic indication FDS-255 presents to crew navigational data, meteorological information etc. in accordance with the selected operational mode.

FDS-255 provides the colour map of the information going from onboard systems on liquid crystal indicators and broad selection of modes of the map. The brightness control of the map is provided.

The system allows to map a video information from the video source and sensors of infrared radiation.

The operational recorder BUR-92 during the flight stores the information on the failured systems and after flight gives this information to the attendants.

The input of the initial data is performed into the navigational calculator UNS-1M with the help of the data loader. In the system the database Jeppesen is used.

During the flight a crew has a possibility to correct the schedule of flight through control panels of the calculator UNS-1M.

The computing system of air navigation ( CSA ) provides processing of the primary data going from onboard navigationals, radars, ÑÀÓ and gives an appropriate information to crew. The system CSA controls the operation of onboard systems.

The CSA system provides fulfillment of the following main functions:

  • loading of input data;
  • calculation of data for taking-off and landing;
  • planning of a flight routing;
  • air navigation on a route;
  • control of radio navigation systems;
  • fulfillment of searching–rescuing operations.
  • recording of information connected with the fulfillment of the problem during the flight.

For the determination of the aircraft position in the complex structure are used LTN-101 inertial system and ANS-85 heading reference system AHS-85, and also AIM-505 stand-by attitude indicator.

For the determination of high-altitude - fast-track parameters of the aircraft in the complex structure two ADS-85 systems of air signals are used.

Dual-channel systems of navigating and landing VIR-432, the altimeters ALT-4000, automatic control system APS-65 provide landing approach of the aircraft according to II category ICAO.

The auto flight control system (ACS) APS-65 is an integrated system with a closed loop of control.

In the system the function of the system self-testing and possibility of substitution on different stages of its work is provided to guarantee the fulfillment of functions of automatic control in failed situations and aggravating environmental conditions.

For the cases of failures of the system components the modes of reconfiguration of functions of ACS system are foreseen. The logic of reconfiguration of functions conforms MIL-F-9490, MIL-F-872242 and other appropriate documents requirements.

In the system the digital data processing in real time is used.

The aircraft control and maintenance of the demanded characteristics of stabilization are performed jointly and in bridge on three axes: longitudinal, lateral and yaw axis. The protection against situations of the loss of control during the flight is provided..

The ground proximity warning system GPWS Mark VII in the complex structure is used for increasing of a flight safety.

Usage of the navigational computing system UNS-1M and the automatic control system APS-65 provide automatic flight of the aircraft on a route and fulfillment of search and rescue operations.

The means of item correction such as, radial system VOR from the structure of the navigation system and landing VIR-432, ranging system DME-432, radio system of short-range navigation ARN-153 TACAN, satellite systems SH-3302 GLONAS and GPS from the structure of the navigational computing system UNS-1M, and also automatic direction finder ADF-462 allow to pinpoint the aircraft position .

In automatic and director operational modes AREE provides an indispensable level of safety at the expense of signaling of actuation of operational modes, automatic and continuous control of health monitoring during the flight with the issue of signals about failure and automatic disconnect of a failed channel.

On the aircraft the radar station "BLIZZARD - 140-32" is installed providing the functions "search", " meteo ", "ground" and has the following features:

  • "Ground mapping" - detection and allocation of radar objects ( RO );
  • " Meteo " - detection of airborne moisture targets;
  • "Beacon" - operation with ground beacons of Air Force of Russia.

The radar range depends on the type of a radar object, the maximum rating of range is 400 km at detection of large cities and powerful thunderstorm airborne moisture targets.

The system has six scales for range finding up to RO . The system has three scan sectors on azimuth: ±75; ±45; ±15. The system provides manual, mechanical, declination of an antenna pattern in a vertical plane - not less than ±15° .

Communication apparatus ARC-210 VHF, HF-9000, SPGS provide performing of non-searching and free-from-tuning radio communication with ground control posts and crews of other aircraft in retracted HF , VHF, and UHF ranges; listening of established VHF range; performing of intercommunication between the crew members; listening of emergency frequencies of VHF range.

The registration of the voice information is performed with the help of ED 56A. For the providence of communication after the aircraft landing outside the aerodrome or radio signal issue for the drive of search and rescue service devices and audio signal to the search and rescue services in case of emergency above the water or aircraft dropping under the water the emergency radio beacons ELT 96 and ULB DM-100 are used.
